Marie Radford made her debut for The Professors playing keyboards for her leaving party at Pratt Institute on June 25, 2004. Marie was leaving her position as Dean of the Library School at Pratt to become an Associate Professor in the School of Communication, Information, and Library Studies at Rutgers University. Marie played a vintage Yahama DX7 synthesizer given to her by former bass player Stephen Cooper on songs such as Weird Sisters, Spirit of the Age, and PSI Power.

Marie was to make many guest appearances with The Professors since her debut, including shows at the Rutgers University Log Cabin, Lenfell Hall at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she added keyboard flourishes to songs such as Closer to the Heart and Farewell to Kings by Rush and Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. At the December 2005 show at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Marie added amazing keyboard parts to Dogs by Pink Floyd and Brainstorm/Sonic Attack by Hawkwind which really brought her talents to the fore.

Marie traded in the Yahama DX7 for a modern Roland Juno-G synthesiser, which she debuted at The Crossroads on July 28, 2007, the same gig that Marie officially became a full member of The Professors.
