The Professors perform their first gig (an instrumental set influenced by the music of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert Collins, and Jimi Hendrix) at the estate of the "Colonel" Nicholas Belkin, Highland Park, NJ. The band premiered two original songs, Fast Blues with Mean Progression (T-ski) and Retro (T-ski/Radford/Kubey).


The Professors perform "Scuttlebuttin'" by Stevie Ray Vaughn,
the first song ever performed by The Professors in public.
